The paint effects and weathering on this model are looking superb and starting to make me feel quite inadequate!!

As a break from the main model i thought i'd have a go at painting one of the crew.

One became two and before long i'd painted quite a few of them.
At this magnification they look quite rough, but they do look better in real life, honest!

Superb Savvy. I know exactly what you mean with the figures. I painted mine up, took a couple of shots with a macro lense and was horrified at how awfull they looked. They look fine though on the model!! It just goes to show what the standard must be in these magazines when you see close up shots looking as good as they do!

I still think your weathering is excellent and the tower is a model in it's own right.

Hi Richard,

For the rust streaks i use/used MIG pigments and normal artist pastels scraped with a blade to form a fine powder. See post #24 for a few more details.

Cheers,
Sav.
