| several members of our model boat club went last year, they said for our side of the hobby (marine) it was a disaster, plus it seemed expensive for what you got, BUT IT WAS THE FIRST YEAR FOR THIS EVENT .....
in 2004 it also clashed date wise with weymouth model boat festival ( which i attended) having talked to the members and seen the few pictures they had i definately made the right choice especially seeing as the milage to weymouth is similar as the distance to the NEC from my home !
this year the dates dont clash with weymouth, the NEC show is a week later, but i still may give this show a year or two to build itself up before venturing to the NEC....
not the right attitude i suppose...... i should be supporting all model shows from their infancy but just cant get excited at seeing a few marine related exhibits and a small number of traders, i would rather save my time and money for weymouth, warwick and other boat only shows..... |
