Promodellers weathering wash is the easiest way to create the best looking panel lines in no time. It also does so much more. It can be used anywhere on a model from cockpits to wheel wells, engines to weapons.
The best bit is, if you don’t like it, just wash it off and start again. That simple.
The wash comes in two colours, Dark and Light dirt.

And then dry brush to pick out the details:


Well ok - Here's the real thing - still pretty decent for 1/48 though! I never believe people when they say "it’s a simple job of making the front wheel well, instrument panel and installing the rear bulkhead."

Would this be ok for doing panel lines on 1/24 cars? I want it to completely wipe away clean just leaving the panel lines coloured, I'm not after any weathering effects, or is there an alternative I can use for achieving this?

yes it could work, just get a thin paint brush and make a quite watery mix and drop it into the line. it should flow down the line (and the line only)

another, cheaper way to do it. if you have used acrylics, give the car a coat of johnsons clear, let it cure for about 2 days. get some black enamel (or whatever colour you want to do the lines) thin it down a bit with enamel thinners and do the same. get a bit and let it run down the lines.

or with this method you can just paint it all over, then with a cloth/cotton woll budd or similar dipped in enamel thinners just go over the whole care exept the lines. johnsons clear is acrylic based so the enamel thinners wont effect it or you paint job below.

Let me introduce my self.

My name is Phil Flory, I'm a full time model maker and make the promodellers weathering wash.
The company has been running as Flory Models for the last 7 years but this year the name changed to Promodeller so we could keep it under the same roof as Promodellers wash (Easier for the tax man).

I mainly build aircraft in any scale but are commissioned to build most things.

Interesting facts about me, well I've built over 200 1/48 Haseagwa hornets for one client and over 150 1/48 Hasegawa Phantoms too. I build around 50 to 100 models a year, I'm married to Julie who handles all the paper work and the sales of the wash. I've got three kids and two dogs, two cats and a parrot.

My site is there two get people to start or get back into the hobby and to promote the wash, well I think that's about it, I'll now go a have a nose around the forum.

Thanks for the welcome, I found you by all the links to my site and followed it back and found this great forum.

Things are a bit busy at the moment with the new wash going into the shops this week and a house move that has just fallen through.
But I will get some builds up here soon.
