Hi, Folks,

I'm curious. Has anyone here ever tried to build a small scale liquid fueled rocket planes like the Germans were developing during WW2. Not a turbine model, but an actual liquid fuel rocket motor. I think the one they built was called the ME163? I think it would be kinda cool to see something like that fly. I saw a turbine powered model in a magazine, and wondered how difficult it would be to fly if it were actually rocket powered? Lew

Two seat spitfires
20 Nov, 2008 - 10:23 AM - by Dave T
Hello everyone.Just finding my way around this site.I'm interested in planes, models, die casts etc.
Did any one see early this year, BBC's Top Gear where the presenters did a series of challenges with their German tv counterparts. The BBC got three two seat spitfires to fly Jeremy Clarkson,Hammond, and May,to the race track.
I thought there was only one double seater in the uk,based at Duxford. Can anyone tell me of any more?.

Lewis Hamilton Mercedes kit
19 Nov, 2008 - 4:01 PM - by porsche
The New Lewis Hamilton Mercedes is now avalible to 'pre-order'.

Great for younger children to build, as is just screw 'n' snap.

Construction of this kit is 'snap and screw' - no glue or paint required!

Iv got two coming for my young boys 3 and 5 years old and they both love racing cars and building stuff.
(even thought ill have to help my youngest, he will love it).

Amqazing models from a MIG welder and Angle grinder
18 Nov, 2008 - 4:15 PM - by PTSideshow
Another guy who makes me want to stop and sell all my tools and toys! Granted most not ship related, But on big equipment and trucks and tractors.
The lake freighter is, what would be called a water line I guess. the first 5 or 6 photo's
Here is a site, for some amazing models built with a MIG welder and gauge sheet steel. along with an amazing body of work. Claims most are made from only a few pictures, and books. Never having seen most of them. Still very impressive even if he had the erecting drawings.
I'm giving links to his to ships related photo sets.
SHIPS - a set on Flickr
and the second his trip on a laker

You should also check out some of his other photosets and the set of his small shop!.THE WORKSHOP - a set on Flickr

» Posting on the forum
Every now and again I get an email from someone who has joined yet can't workout how to post, I thought for every person that emails me there's probably several that haven’t and have not posted and not come back, which is a great loss, so this is a quick beginners guide to posting on the forum.

There are several ways but with out complicating things these are the easiest on the main page of the forum you will see a listing of each forum available you will also notice that there are 2 small icons near the middle of the page, one is a magnifying glass the other is like a notepad icon, if you press that on the forum you would like to post in it will go straight to the post editor box

All you need to do is put in your title. Type your message and press the Submit New Thread button, it's that easy

To reply to a post there are a couple of way of doing this.

Just above the fist post and just below the last one is a Post Reply button, that will take you in to the full screen editor the same as post new thread, or you can use the Quick Reply box, this one's even easier, type your message and submit it and finally there is the quote post button, that shows at the bottom of every persons post, it enables you to quote a post in your reply.

Hope this has helped, if not let me know and I will expand this

John
