Glad to see some guidelines...no one enjoys unwanted nit picking. Reading through older posts I can see you ladies and gents are respectful of one another :smiling4:
I’m with Scottie on the ‘all comments welcome’ approach as long as it’s not about dunklegelb :smiling5:

Just back from being AWOL. Also like Scottie, being relatively new here, the 4 simple rules are about right, we all need rules of some sort or we have anarchy.....
Are we able to use this forum for new products, ie paints and the like. How good they are ,ideas of use, good or bad.

Cheers Mike :face-with-head-bandage::face-with-head-bandage::face-with-head-bandage: ( there are no dog or cat emo's )

I agree that this is a very civilized site and as such I think the following should be born in mind.

What ever you think don't make us have to write a rule about that. ie Common sense rules.

Just read Wotan's post. Sorry Ian, but some of us get a bit carried away, but nothing what is said is in any way nasty. Its just banter, if you want us to stop then ok. A shame because thats what makes this site and the one we don't mention so good.
John.:disappointed:

John, I agree, a bit of banter never hurt anyone, there is far too much pc and seriousness in the world. So let's keep the humour on here, and if I want to get my banter out, then I will.
Mike.
Is that Banter or Bantam I keep getting these chickens so mixed up :hungry: .

Mike.

Nothing wrong with a bit of banter. Most of the time it is, more or less, on topic. When a thread such as this goes off on a complete tangent.... not so good.
I'm not saying stop it, Just try to control yourselves. Just once in a while.

So... CRITIQUE CORNER. A place to post a photo or two of a SINGLE build to ask for CRITIQUE as to how it is looking.
NOT a gallery for showing collections of work.

If I had to list one critique about the site, it's that there's never enough biscuits available when somebody starts a new build and we all 'join in' to follow it... some folks are taking way to many and not leaving any for the other folk.

On another note though,
The 'rules' seem perfectly fine, they're just guidance not a dictatorship, just how this forum has always been...

There's a good bunch of folk here, and to be honest I've never seen any comments 'tearing' somebody's work apart when they ask for 'critique', unlike many other forums. Folk here are quick to help out, and that's what makes this place successful.
I for one always accept critique on my builds, each build is nothing more than another learning curve and although I might have been modelling for a fair few years, I'm no way an expert at it, sometimes a different set of eyes spots the things that you haven't seen and a bit of guidance from everybody else helps makes the difference between a successful build and one that your not happy with.
