Some more touches to the house, until it is married to the base.

I had a long hard look at the base and I wasn't happy with it for a few reasons so I have decided to go for cobbles. With that in mind I have made a start. I cut a shallow V trench across the base as this will be a rain channel.

I have been working on a new base and I am a lot happier. Spent the day finishing off the cobbles and cutting it to size. Next replaced the concrete slab in front of the house with a kerb and paving slabs also added a drain for the down pipe. Next I added a pavement to the left as the road just looked odd. I have cut out one slab to make room for a tree to be planted and pressed another one down just for some variation. The colours have been blocked in next will be detailing the cobbles.

Truly stunning work Paul. The posters are so life like with that wear and tear. I like the trip hazard pavement also. You must be very pleased with the way this is going

Steve,
Thanks mate I am fairly happy with it, and I'm not saying this to get praise but there is still something about it that I wish I could do to make it less model like and more real like some of the better modellers. I will just have to hone my skills

Think I am calling the base done hope you like it. Now to add the M2 and my least favourite element painting and adding the figures. I will not bore you with my description so hopefully the pictures will say it all. Thanks for sticking with it and hopefully It hasn't bored you to much. Will post again when I have added the figures so you will get some peace for a while.
