I've made a start on the damage to the tail section. I generally bent, twisted, squeezed and added a some extra tin foil - And then gave it the dog to chew.
The tin foil tube I fitted lent itself very well to being squished!

No fuel jettison pipe - Yet... ;)

Also, I've had a look at the Arla Hurricane, Murfie kindly sold me, and there is no way I'm going to butcher a superb little kit such as this. So I'm going to build it 'Proper like', and hunt me, shall we say, an ordinary 1/72 Hurricane, which I can happily 'Modify' with no tears.

Cheers.
Ron
I must admit I was thinking it was a bit special for that. The dornier looks great by the way

Give or take a bit of tweeking and a bit of flying scrap ali',when I get towards the end, I've finished the Dornier. Thanks go again to Steve (stona) for all sorts of info. I hope I've got it something like, Steve?

Loveerly pink brushed on a la erks!
Port engine stopped.
Being 30 yr. old, the decals tended to crack and separate, but in the main I managed. Where I failed, I just scratched them down to the aluminium!

You've caught the look of that break absolutely perfectly - even if you haven't got the number of wires, stringers, pipes etc totally accurate. I think even the most critical of rivet counters would accept that as real!

What's the thin part that sticks out of the fuselage on the starboard side behind the wing - I thought that was the fuel discharge pipe. Seems too far back to be a step.

Dead cuffed you like it thus far boys.... :thumb2: Thank you.

Dave. Keep in mind there's still some tweeking/additions to be done in the area of the break.

Pete - I don't know. It could be some sort of antenna. I'm sure someone will be along to answer our question. You can see the thick severed fuel discharge pipe wot is now added to the wrecked part of the aircraft. It can also be seen protruding at the rear end.

Thanks again for your great posts, chaps.

Thought for sure JR, would have been around with the pyrotechnics since there is raw fuel about to fill the atmosphere. Matron must have him tied up again. Terrific show on display here 570......I couldn't have picked a better spot to ram a Do 17, very realistic Sir.

570 , once again a superb job. Coupled with your back ground work.
Rick Yes I did become excited with the thought that there might be fire, but as we know this didn't happen, unless someone tells me different .Matron has left me some pills, bless her.

Thanks to all who have posted such nice comments. I appreciate every one of them.

Now read this 453 - There will be fire, well a bit of smoke etc. coming from the smashed port engine. Please note neither you, petrol, paraffin, dynamite, matches, Zip Firelighters (Other makes of fire starters are available) blow lamps etc. or that bird, are to come anywhere near this build....
