Welcome Stuart....

I'd like to think I'm NOT quite an old git just yet.....but like Mark I'm seemingly working on it without almost any effort.....

but at least my 13 year old son sometimes dabbles in the hobby with me, so I'm hoping that is slowing down the aging process a bit......Not that you would think so given some of the things he calls me!! :surprised: ;) :tired:

Again welcome aboard! Looking forward to seeing your work.

ATB.

No Booties but some Navy - ! Some nice beasties there though - 110's and 109's make good models! I have mates who were gun-fitters in 79 (Kirkee) and Black 8, big loves on the 25 pdr saluting guns at the Citadel! (oh, forgot - Scorpions, Scimitars etc, what's not to love!) Just remembered, there were 155's at Devizes back in the day!

Hi Steve
I have the Italia or something like that kit of the M109. Started to build inc workable tracks, but back in box now.
Yes it is a good kit, I had built one earlier, but due to a domestic incident it got smashed, sob sob.
Going by your handel, are you ex Para?.

For my sins I started off that way Stuart, several years before serious injury and realisation I had (most of) a brain meant a temporary transfer to a Corps; a couple of rebadgings and finished up briefly in the Int Corps for my sins! Nearly a quarter Century of some really great times, lots of Loan Service and travel! Some hot, some cold and some that passed in an alcoholic haze! Nothing new there ...
Stag on yourself mate!

Welcome Stuart,
another happily retired old git here! I've spent quite a bit of time in Hull, at King George Dock & doing some professional qualifications ( stayed on Anlaby Road ). Some good & bad memories - one bad one being in a pub opposite the railway station - some disgruntled ejected customer let off a CS gas canister in the bar! Luckily I got out by a back door with only very minor symptoms! ( late 70's/early 80's ).

Hello John
Wow.
Now that is something else, two people on the same forum that served abroad in the same town
in different generations.
Churchill Bks has now been turned into a social housing complex.
Was there an SKC there, when you were stationed there?
What time period were you there? Was it 50's/60's?
I was there in the 70's
Your are in Lincs as well, prehaps we could start a Lippstadt old boys group. LOL
Stag on
