wasnt sure where to put this, but this seemed as good place as any

and now for something completely different!

a wooden catapult using a leonardo da vinci design

saw this on ebay a while back and it just appealed as something a little different

been wanting to crack on with it ever since it arrived in the post but its a horrible pine colour, so ive picked up some oak stain, ive given it all a coat, dont know if it will need a second, we shall see tomorrow

Hi Paul
I have seen these da Vinci wooden kits on eBay a few times and wondered what they were like. I am looking forward to seeing what comes of this.

Paul.
God I thought I read launching the cat. !
You can thin the stain if its something like Colron with white spirit, if you wanted to lighten it, or do a slightly lighter 2nd coat. This assuming you've never done it before. :smiling:
John.

All looks a bit Ikea - bring on the dark stain

Being pre finished you should be launching cats in no time

I missed this one Paul. I hope you dont mind that I moved it to the Artillery section.
Particularly like the idea of using it as a 'cat'apult for cat treats.
