I got this prebuilt with bits missing free from a facebook group member, which was very nice of them.

I added piece to the interior, and used a very fine powder to simulate silt, rust etc. This was problematic as I struggled to get some areas properly. I thought, as it was old it may have come apart but was too brittle.

The outer was done in the usual sand method.

Hours in painting and building up the coats, once done I did a gloss coat to simulate the wet slimy look.

Not the best sunken sub I have made.

Little bit of a update on this. I found a 1/125 figure, the detail at the scale is nothing really, so I added a small sprue piece as a large rebreather and made a pair of fins from plasticard...so, we now have a diver heading for the open hatch.

Great build and very different . The diver looks the part Si.

Thanks John, nice, easy build. Glad you like the little fella, You should have seen how many attempts at cutting some thin plasticard for the flippers. Loads on the floor, others flying off in all directions and me, in the middle thinking if this was such a good idea LOL.

Very nice Si. The diver is a great touch, gives the whole thing scale :thumb2:

Ta Tim, I had finished the sub just happen to come across the figure in that scale, as you said, gives it a bit of scale. Glad you like it mate.
