Hi all,

I've finished work on my 1/144 diorama set, and hopefully have done it some justice! It depicts two T-72s of the Iraqi Army in 2003 guarding a bridge over a canal.

One of the vehicles is dug in, while a soldier behind it inspects supplies and a newly delivered DShK machine-gun. A soldier rests in a sandbag emplacement, and on the bridge, a second T-72 has arrived, waiting to be let across. A civilian has approached, and a third soldier is telling him that he'll need to wait for them to finish before he himself is allowed to pass.

Overall this was a fun build! The trickiest part was the water, and getting it to set within the dome shape. There were a few leakages. The kit also came with about 6 other soldiers, but on close inspection these turned out to be US troops, so I had no need for them on this one. Also, it came with 4 palm trees, but I don't think I could have made these work. So here we are! Enjoy!

Many thanks,
Greg

At such a small scale I think you've done a fantastic job - never seen these before.

Hi Greg
That is excellent. You can certainly get a lot in the space at this scale although it must be a strain on the eyes.

Great build, Greg.
I'm very impressed by the amount of detail and also one heck of a lot to look at.
Very nice indeed.

Thank you all. They really are interesting little kits, so if you see them come up on eBay, I'd highly recommend giving them a go!

Well executed and a beautiful result...Hat's off to the lead tank driver, He's threaded a needle in crossing that bridge without disturbing a brick.:thumb2: Rick H.

Thank you for the comments all! I think I'll go back to a comparatively large scale for the time being.....1/72 :smiling5:
