I wanted a large mobile generator to go with my 1/16 gantry crane.

So, to the spares and bits box. Ended up using old speaker boxes from RC tanks for the main body, with lots of fiddly nuts and bolts, a old jeep chassis and various scratch made plasticard bits.

It looks okay from a distance and just adds to the crane set up.

Just to add, I have gone back into the workshed, now it is...slightly cooler...and added another weathering finish coat to it, no pics though.

Si,
Nice bit of scratchery.

Cheers Paul, I lost loads of those nuts and bolts, all over the workshed floor...there was many choice words too :smiling3: glad you like it mate.

I don't know about looking ok from a distance - it looks pretty damn good close up too!

Very kind of you to say so Andy, appreciate it. Chuffed you like.

Si .
Looks as it comes from a top manufacturer, you should be proud . I agree with Andy's comment.

Wonderful work Si. It sits really well in the scene.

Thank you Steve, I have, as I tend to do with my models, gone back and added a few bits. :smiling: Changed the control board, added a vent to the top of the main generator housing, added a bump guard to the front, a handrail and some small extra detailing bits.
