With our 1/16 RC tanks near completion I decided to have a go at making a bunker type gun from junk I have lying around. The reason is for something to hide behind or use in attack and defense games, just to add some variety.

So, I came up with a old WW I type heavy gun embrasure type thing, with a unusual rotating armored barrel shroud. The main bunker is underground with these guns at certain sections.

Made from:

A old clock case.

The top section from a orb choccies box.

Section of plastic tube.

Copper wire for foot and hand holds.

Various bits from the spares box.

Going to add some more supports and then some wire around the bottom and maybe some netting.

This is not super neat or perfect and took me four hours with another hour or so left to finish it off.

Well this is something different and unusual.

Did you do the rusting?,because if so that is fantastic.

So when it clocks the enemy it will fire at them;)

Your rusting technique is top notch Si, would love to know how you get it that good. I know you mentioned in a post a while ago about the three Mig pigments you use but I cannot get it anywhere near that realism.

Thanks Graham, I have a pot that is mixed with the three and use, once it dries out I just add more fixer and more pigment as I need. I also have a light version, new rust with rail rust to use as a more recent rust spot.

Nice work SiFi you've built that up in no TIME at all
Groan...yeah, but was WINDING me up at times... :D

I have given it a dusting coat and grassed the bottom area to hide the detail, looks better. Once dry I will give it lacquer coat to protect it from being handled.
