I needed a little diversion from the Gecko Bedford as trying to fit the transparencies and the roof is trying my patience, so time for something a wee bit bigger. I think this is big enough.

Despite what is says on the box it would seem to be a Merit kit.
Sprue shots, I had to lay them out on the floor as my bench would not hold them all.

No parts count on the box but there are quite a few, some of them quite small for the size of the model, anyhoo I have made a start.

You get an idea of the size here and there are still 2 bogies to go on.

All going together rather well, no flash to speak of and just a few seam lines to get rid of where they will be seen.

So easy to get carried away with something so easy to build. The only down side is the instructions which seem to be pictures of actual kit build and the pics have been photocopied so many times they are a bit dark hiding some of the detail so you have to dry fit everything just to make sure.

Andy,
Looking very nice what are the dimensions?
Paul

Looking at one of the earlier cruciform base shots it looks like it might be nearly a foot across.....

The cutting mat is marked in centimetres :smiling3: It appears to be about 29 cm across the arms (both front to back and side to side).

Yep, that's a fair old size! Looks very nicely detailed too.

By the time it is built the black primer should be delivered.
I'm having a problem finding my favoured black primers, might have to try something new :surprised:

Hi Andy
A nice looking kit. Detail looks good and you have said that the fit is fine.

.... even more when compared to my recent 1/48 version.
Jim
I'm not even going to mention the 1/72 Zvezda one I have.....

Major assembly completed and broken down into smaller parts ready for a gallon or so of black primer.

Wow now that is big ,always a big topic on here who's primer, panzer gray or desert yellow , yellow would be easier to filter and wash to make it all pop but me I'm bit of a gray man myself what ever its your call ,looking forward to it. Dave
