While having a break from the truck I had a look in here.

Looking at the instructions and the sprues I figured that this would be another build fraught with very small fragile parts.

The top left is actually one sprue cut in half to fit in the small box. On studying the contents I became became very interested in the model so just got stuck in.
Some small bits.

All going together well it seems.

Tiny and fiddly it may be but this model has really got me going, so much so that it is nearly fully built.

There is something very satisfying about little stuff although I doubt if I could cope with 1/72 models.

The wheels and air intake are just held on with blue tack to see how it looks. The exhaust, seat, steering wheel and gear lever will need to be painted before fitting and there are some tiny decals to go inside the driver area and they will also need doing before finishing. I will also need to experiment with paint mixing as the Tamiya blue on the call out sheet is way too dark.

Hi Andy
MiniArt seem to like these kits with many small parts. Looks to have gone together nicely. Luckily the poor join at the rear is underneath so a bit of mud and 'job's a good'un' :tongue-out3:

You've had plenty of practice recently with small parts Andy so this should be much easier----- hopefully.;)

Thanks for the comments chaps, I could probably have cleaned up the joint but as Tim says, it's underneath so no one will see it.

Andy,
That looks like a very nice build mate. it is satisfying using small bits that is until they ping off into orbit.

Painted the wheels with a rust coat to use up the Vallejo I had and remembered why I only have 3 pots of the stuff, I don't like it and prefer Tamiya.
I will go over them with some rust pigments I have here and then decide on the main colour for the tractor.

Looking for pictures of the real thing it seems they were painted a few different colours than the box art, so plenty to choose from.

Don't think they are bad at all Andy, think the rust from experience of seeing farming machinery on the Estate where my workshop was were any different:thumb2:

Worked on the wheels a bit to get the shiny parts done.

That Uschi metal polishing powder is good stuff, I used it before on the bulldozer blade.
Now I must make up my mind about the main colour for the tractor.

Started the paintwork on this.

I know it looks to be grey but there is a wee touch of blue in there that does not show very well in the picture.
