There is nothing wrong with that, Andy. It just looks well used, as it no doubt would.

Andy,

That is coming along very nicely indeed. A great job so far.

As above, thanks a lot, perhaps I am being too fussy but I still must do something with the tailgate as it's just not right IMO.

Spent a bit of time today hand painting the tyres on 12 wheels, I dislike wheels that have the tyres and rims moulded as one piece. I also fitted the engine and radiator and gave it a coat of matt laquer.

As before, the tipper is just placed on the chassis and I am waiting for some oils to come before I start on it in ernest.

Andy .
I've built several Mirror models and they are always awkward at times, think they think of the most fiddly things as some sort of office joke.
It's looking good, even therapeutic knowing I'm not alone :smiling:

Been bouncing back and forth between this and the tractor so not a lot to show.
Cab and bonnet test fitted to see if they fitted properly, needs some adjustment here and there.

I have decided to experiment with oils and pigments with this one, so who knows what it will come out like?

I decided to go with a faded, scruffy look with this one but perhaps I should have waited for my order of proper brushes first.

My first attempt at trying oils and it could have been better. I will think about it later and if I decide to change it the oils will wipe off with mineral spirit in the morning.

Still a work in progress but it will get there, I hope.
Some muck on the underside.

Tipper and cab not glued on yet but I wanted to see how it looked.

Looking at the pictures I am thinking that the mud is a bit overdone, actually it looks worse in the photo but I will be able to tone it down a bit and some work on the cab will help.

Very nice work Andy. The weathering is looking spot-on.
