Ok maybe it’s a Christmas Miracle but this build is at the threshold of completion. I added the tools, spare wheel and fixed those pesky track the best I could I’m going to wait to take some better outside pics before I post it in completed. Thanks for the help guys on this build6F9E7CDC-ACF8-4872-862C-8D56D53DD92C.jpeg5C2D1A70-71C0-4BE4-9D76-7DD5B3D5929F.jpeg7AB57CB2-D44B-4CC8-B3CA-A84738CFC8C5.jpegEBB53C8F-DF4B-4EFD-A906-1FC1739F62BF.jpegFFFEC109-E8E6-42A8-B6B8-88F8E3F21D4D.jpegC5FAB783-3380-426F-862D-D87A2AF9597D.jpeg776D75B3-A6EB-4123-8601-45DAF707FEAD.jpeg1E7278E1-2495-4130-9D61-CB6BCF7C6B11.jpeg

Very nice Lee.
BTW - I feel your pain regarding old Tamiya kits and tracks!!

I've got the desert version of this in the pipeline which wasn't intentional...I'd thought the kit would come with transfers to do a European theater version, but alas not.

Lee.
Glad you weren't cut off from the world.
Great recovery, don't ever worry about tracks . I'm the undisputed champion of track mistakes and fitting . As Paul has said a bit of mud covers most things, in my case it's half a lorry load . Do I care , no not anymore it's supposed to be fun .
Finish and the additional tools make it look good .
John :smiling:

Technically speaking, the Tamiya kit is only correct to build a desert version — one specific one, in fact, that was photographed for “enemy equipment recognition” pictures.

This because it has a stowage bin on the left rear mudguard that shouldn’t be there — the Pz.Kpfw. II normally only had this bin on the right alongside the superstructure, but the captured and photographed tank had a second one, that Tamiya faithfully (well, to a degree :smiling3:) replicated.
