I started to mark out and cut my own masks for painting, a real PITA byt the results when painted on look good.

I also added the gunsmoke stains out of the casing ports for the .30 MG and 20mm Cannons

Ta Ian, I hope to get the top color on today and start wrapping it up paintwize.
I have been offered a very substantial amount for the plane and it is rather tempting to complete it and sell it than do another for me......but damn it is allot of work to get it to where it is now . what to do, what to do.....

Great work Theuns,
I can understand why you got an offer for this spit, it looks awesome!

I also have a RC airplanes past and at this stage I would seriously doubt to launch it to the air :smiling3:... (I mean not taking the risk damaging this beauty)

Keep it comming!
Kind regards
Steven

Trying to fit this nse pan cowl was a real PITA but eventually got it wrangled to shape, I hop to have all the paint work done by this weekend if the weather holds.
I just need to make the UC doors from allu sheet than all is done ready for the azure.

I did the last of the weathering on the fuse and wing bottom, if a british engine doesnt leak soot and oil, it just means that the oil is finnished

Some spitties were really heavy on oil!

The undercart geometry simply doe not allow for a gapless door no matter how I play arround with it

I also made and installed the fairings for the Hispano 20mm cannons.
