3rd vehicle in a project, i have here a C60S early GS steel body, no.11 cab, 134" w/b.... I want a mid/late C60L GS, steel body no.13 cab, 156" w/b. The kit has the no.13 cab.... but I'll have to extend chassis & drivetrain and fabricate a new steel KWB body.....

Interesting Nick..... And another indictment of my lack of knowledge of softskins.....I have no idea what most of your introduction was going on about.....I still have a LOT to learn where softskins are concerned.... :tired:

Will be interesting to see this come together.

Hi Nick
No going back now. Hopefully the rest will be straightforward although these sort of conversions often throw up awkward moments.

Great start Nick. Interesting that these trucks were a bit mix and match as well.

Hi Nick
Are you going to scratch the body from scratch or will it be possible to just add an extra section? 5 hoops instead of the 4 on the kit part.

Imma hoping i can use front and rear panels, just remake sides and floor, then create the tiltframe and canvas.... sounds easy lol, lets see how i get on, thanks for your vote of confidence

Judging by the drawing, it looks a fairly simple sheet and strip construction Nick, with a few detail points to keep you interested such as the angled cut aways at the base of the side stantions. Might be hard to keep them from bowing while drying though, I think I’d leave them under weight overnight….

I concur, i may even do the stripwork directly onto a sheet then cut L & R sides out, done this before and it significantly reduces construction warpage.

Hi gang
Todays fiddlins, finished misc bits on chassis, opted not to fit PTO driven winch.... I'd like to finish this ! The new 3D printed fig was given the chop, and i carved his posterior and lower thighs flat, guaranteed head room when roof added, cool pose of fig I'd say....
