After converting two Revell Cromwell kits, I obviously painted the model.

Nothing overly special, just a brushed-painted coat (or two) of Tamiya olive green followed by a black wash and some drybrushing with, as I recall, Revell light olive. The tracks are some dark red-brown, I’m not sure what, with a metallic drybrushing, and the tyres are black — there’s not really much more to painting models like this.

The decals are from one of the Cromwell kits, as this is a wargames model and I also used these on the Cromwells with which this Challenger is intended to be fielded. The figure is an old one from a Matchbox kit (or perhaps a Revell reissue of one), to give a human touch to the model.

Nicely done Jakko. An interesting subject and indeed the figure adds that little bit extra. Great stuff

Thanks :smiling3:

Though I notice now that I probably put the star on the turret roof on back to front — that is, the American way rather than the British way.

Good stuff Jakko great job even better for being 72nd small is beautiful, as for the star, being a non rivet counter the only reason I know is because you told everyone. Dave

It’s one of those things that looks fine if you don’t know, but if I do know, kind of irks me :smiling3:
