This is the first diorama i have ever attempted

The plane is by ICM

The crew are airfix british ww2 figures

the barrels etc came from an academy ww2 vehicle set

The base, grass, sand etc was nicked from my sons warhammer/citadel stuff

Capt. B Safonov of the northern fleet air force watches on as an engineer works on his plane.

Well for a first time, second time or tenth time that is a very nice simple base display.

I am a big fan of the simple base as it enhances the model and does not distract from it.

To save you asking the difference between a Simple base and a Diorama is easy. A simple base is normally a single model with a few well chosen accessories or props if you rather. A diorama is normally a more complex scene with a the model or models places in a scene with a full dressing of buildings or landscape, trees and the like. Sorry I digress.

A very well made and presented aircraft and well worth five stars.

Very nicely done Wayne.

I'm starting to believe that a figure,or figures, are an important inclusion in these types of presentation. They give scale.

Everyone knows how big a person is...roughly. Most, including me,would have no idea just how small that aeroplane was!

Top job!

Cheers

Great job wayne , the base sets it off nicely. The aircraft looks excellent and the addition of Boris and his erk gives it a good sense of scale , cheers tony

Lovely first scene! Fantastic work on the base and plane. I like it very much the figures too.

The pilot seems to be impatient!! When I can fly again? Hurry up!!

Thats a great first diorama, nicely painted and well laid out.

As said above it's simple but you get the sense of scale with the figures added (no problems for those mate, they were just sitting here collecting dust:smiling3:)

I think it's well worth five stars for a first attempt.
