This is something I have been fiddling with while waiting for parts for the LOX project. It's nearly done
just needs wipers license plate decals and weathering. I'll post it in the completed section when done. Rick H.
Nice truck Rick. I have used HO locomotive wipers. They're made of engineering plastic and although very small are very durable and available in several sizes. PaulE
Thank you Gentlemen, The model is made by ADP, I think Ukrainian. They have superb tooling skills. I can't afford too many of these as they are
costly. Thanks again for looking in.
Cheers, Rick H.
Very nice Rick I almost bet that PaulE would fix you up some wipers. Do you live on the United States? I could send you some plus some lollipop mirrors mine are PE if that’s ok you can private message me here my email does work well
I'd have to look to see if I have any wipers left, but I know I have lic. plt. decals (SS, W, & Luft) as well as unit type & div. and maybe even a load/capy. door decal. Let me know. PaulE
Thank you Gentlemen for your kind offers!
I have plenty of both as well as plate decals.
The lolly pops on all my trucks are scratch built.
A 1/16th" paper punch from the local craft store, .005 thou. styrene and
.010 thou. brass wire. Piece of cake!
Cheers, Rick H.
Wipers and plate decals installed when these are set I'll start the weathering. BTW this truck came pre assembled and painted. I did change the color of the tarp to match the soft top. Cheers, Rick H.
Steve, The lens is a HO scale model railroad product that I have adapted to my vehicles. They come in various diameters and colors. Glad you like it.
Cheers, Rick H.
Love the 3000 and like Stevie, the tail light is very effective and looks cool. You always have to remember that this is 1/87 scale. Luckily, the model rail road scene has so much to offer you for these tiny works of art!
Allen, Thank you and you are so right when it comes to model RR gear. about 70 percent of my small detail parts comes from that venue.
The rest is Pure Freaking Magic with a little luck thrown in for good measure.
Cheers, Rick H.
By the way, This one is completed and is moved to the completed softskins sub-category of completed military vehicles.
Thank You all for looking in on this.
Cheers, Rick H.
