Working M35 conversions from extra M10s w/field mods. Foreground Evacuation & Recovery unit M35 & M9 hvy. trailer? Background Engineer unit M35 & 20 ton medium trailer. Both tractors prolly liberated or traded from arty. units as they were primarily prime movers for corps level heavy cannon.

Something a little more unusual there Paul. Great work as always though.

Thank you gentlemen. The 20 ton is scratched & the 45 ton is an SDV resin offering I think.
Chris, maybe when I'm in the Christmas spirit.
Rick, this is probably the most effective WE German camo scheme I've seen for disguising the shape. Even at a short distance it disappears in any sort of foliage.

Good Grief Paul,
Do you have an army of mini modellers, I read about one set of models you are building, go away and the next day here you are with a different set up and running, and all of super high quality.
Mike.

Mike, like some others on this site I start things, usually when they arrive, and then move back to other things already in process. Thus lots of stuff is halfassed done laying about in boxes/boxtops.
Rick is right about the 20 ton trailer as I replaced it in one of the Combat Engineer elements with the short 10 tonner to carry its' bulldozer and the bulldozer on it was from an earlier dio.

Great stuff Paul, not enough modeling devoted to recovery operations, I've seen these men in action way back in another world
and I did not envy in the least their relatively "safe" work..... all we had to do was fight.

Have got a Dragon Wagon unfinished dio somewhere about... ah there it is!
Hopefully I'll finish it before I croak.

P.S. love the little tracked loader.

Jim.

Thanks Jim. I have two sections of an Evacuation & Recovery platoon in process somewhere. The Red Ball dio has a portion of one allocated.

Thanks Andrew.
Paul

I meant to ask about their service with US allies. From what I read they were only used by US forces, unlike many other US designed and built vehicles. Do you know if that is correct?

Thanks.

Yes Andrew, to my knowledge only used for 240mm USA Corps level arty. prime movers. Gun was broken into two sections & towed by M35s till the larger M6HST became available. There are photos of them performing USA Engineer functions (dragging 20ton trailer w/bulldozer on board) however. I don't think HSTs (M4, M5, M35 & M6) were shared at all.
