I'm calling this one finished! - I could tinker with it for a long time, but get not much further.....................

I've learnt a lot from this - main one being I have a lot more to learn about using oils! The eyes were a real struggle, they're not brilliant now, but at least next time I know what NOT to do. Using a mix of acrylics and oils works OK, but the times I washed my oil paint brush in water ( for the acrylics! )!
This gentleman will be my next bust, but that will be later in the year

Thanks all for dropping by!
Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave
All credit to you. A nice result on something out of your comfort zone.

Very nicely done Dave - you've caught the essence of the man. And glad to see you've another lined up.
