After seeing this figure on Dave's Build Thread . I had to get one and have a go, and for £14.99 it seemed good value. Built up with just a few seams that needed a swipe with some Vallejo putty and wiped off with a damp finger, or cotton bud. Only disappointing thing i found was the Crye Airframe helmet(s), which are on the one devoid of all detail and the other the Rails are very soft. so I have ordered in a pair of Live Resin replacements, so the good value of £14.99 has now doubled in price. Mind with the CHOPS installed it will give him a different look, even without the CHOPS he will still look different with the sunglasses on.

Just one quick picture from my office desk;

Great to see you doing this Steve. I found that the helmet on the Delta Force figure I did was also lacking in detail. I had to add a restraining bar for the battery, and various cables joined by a coaxial connector.

Sitting comfortably....

Main colours blocked in. Straps and body armour in flat black, knee and elbow pads (so far) dark grey. And his suit in royal blue

Nice one Steve - I also got this figure based on Dave's build, fractionally cheaper at £13something delivered off ebay

May get around to building him eventually

Highlights on the uniform and body armour. Buckles painted in gun metal and then washed in black to take the shine away. Matt coat applied. Time to add the weapons and other bits.

Steve,
off at the rush! Good to see how it should be done. I did mine with the plain helmet & goggles, the helmet with the boom mike & headphones looked like a doubling up of his chest speaker/mike - would both be carried?
Dave
ps after a couple of days searching the internet, - I finally ordered the ICM Viking from HobbyEasy, at just under £18 delivered, cheapest I could find globally! ( I suppose someone will now find one at much less than that! )

Hi dave

One of the radios would be patched to his headset, I think.

Think i am going to repaint the helmet blue, looks rather cool and will break all that black up on the head, with the scarf glasses and webbing.

Love that new head Steve, and great work so far. The glossy black helmet would probably pick up a blue tinge from the sky anyway.

After some fettling and sanding, got the resin replacement head attached. The trickiest part was getting the arms, weapon and hand glued on. In the end I added the weapon to his right arm, tacked it in place then added his left arm, then the hand and positioned all into place, going to add a base coat wash to tone some of the highlights down and then just need to build the supplied base.
