Hi Steve

Just leaving the torso as it is. It's close enough to how it should be.

Good luck with Operation Delivery!

Neil - Thank you. I think it has worked out OK - at least he looks reasonably believable.

I've since done a bit of work on the jacket, resolving some of the folds:

I'll leave it alone now.

Lovely finish, quite an unusual figure, but all the better for it, well done yet again Peter.

Delivery sorted, but a baking disaster with the carrot cake, Never did like the oil based cakes, much prefer the tradition, butter, sugar & eggs mix

Sorry about that, I know you shouldn't indulge!

Going to be another bright day, but frost on the car this morning!

Odd weather for mid May or is it?

Enjoy the new bust, whichever gets to be the 1st victim

Regards

Morning Steve

Glad you like this one. I agree it's unusual, but hopefully it works. Sorry to hear abbot the carrot cake disaster, but glad the delivery went well - there should be a small addition to it any day soon (!). It's been quite cold here, with some rain - not like May at all, but hopefully warming up at the weekend.

My next bust will be the final one in the Altores Studio trio, the African woman. It's good enough to stand alone, so just a paint job required:

I'll just post the finished thing I think.

Another great paint job but I have to say it is a bit of an uninteresting figure. It looks like he is lacking a context. This doesn't detract from your usual skilled painting though.

John

P.S. I just ran across an old acquaintance Carlos Startin in another forum. Still turning out his great figures.

Thanks John. I know what you mean about context, but this was only ever meant to be a painting exercise.

Glad to hear that Carlos is still churning out the magic.

An interesting subject nicely executed by your good self. I do like the youthfulness of his looks. Lovely work sir.
