I've completed 5 models since I began building again, and this was the 2nd which I built about 3+ years ago (I work very slow LOL). I've never built a diorama before so this was the first. Recently I added static grass for a bit of interest and colour.

The kit is 1/72 Academy built out of the box. I used a Tamiya rattle can for the NMF and weathered using pastels.

For the diorama I added PSP matting and hacksawed it to shape. I made the mud with acrylic paint thickener with brown artist acrylics stirred in. The ground work was then gloss varnished to make it look wet.

Thanks for reading :smiling3:

That's really good Alex, it doesn't look 1/72nd , more like 1/48 with the quality of the painting on the Mustang. The little dio really sets it off, you should be well proud of that.

Cheers

Alex, this mini diorama proves the old saying. 'It doesn't have to be big to be beautiful.'

You have done a really nice job of this. Simple, but very effective, well done.

Thanks Polux and Ron.

I considered the groundwork to be mediocre but maybe I'll look on it with a little more pride from now on. It's made my day that fellow modellers appreciate it, so thank you all! :smiling3:
