Hi Steve
Camel painting is excellent. RP have certainly done a superb job - detail and accuracy.

Great work Steve. I can smell that camel's breath!
Thanks Peter

According to Historians, that was part of their 'charm' when attacking the roman army, plus the actual stench of the camels frightened the Roman horses and if that wasnt bad enough finally a 20ft plus pole trying to spear you, could ruin your day.

Every lady deserves jewelry, so Camilla's gold ankle bracelets and bells have been added, shame about her knees and joints - that's what you get for not applying moisturiser. :ROFLMAO: :smiling5:

Got back in the saddle (sorry) and painted the leather saddle, wood ends of the seat and the straps around her tail.20190929_135330_resize_92.jpg20190929_135311_resize_89.jpg20190929_135255_resize_98.jpg20190929_140250_resize_61.jpg

Spent the last couple of evenings painting his shield, arrow (?) holder and the skirts, added in a few different metal scales. Skirts need the leather painting before attaching to Camilla. Skirt and shield just blue tacked for the moment;

Hi Steve
Love it. The colourful detail painting of the saddle and the shield is stunning. Glad to see this back on the go.

That is bloomin' lovely Steve, Looks like it's really nice to paint.

As for post-holiday mojo loss - happens every time to me.

Cheers Peter it is. RP models are superb and with each release get better and better. Only thing with this one is the rider seems on the small side, which is fine on his own, but pairing it with a roman figure from Andrea and also one from Galaxy Models, they look like giants at the moment, so may have to display the camel and rider on their own.

Saw this on RP Models Facebook page ,already have my order in;

Cloak painted, colour built up with several thin coats of paint and then highlights and shadows added;

Bow and Quiver cases painted with various browns and oranges to create the leather colours;
