Nice one. Quite a big lump the Javelin. You must have quite a colourful collection of these A&AEE jobs.

After years of building grey or green and grey jets I needed a change, it kind of stuck, although there are a few grey jets on the 'to build' list

That's a colourful aircraft.

I know what you mean. I have a 'training section' just to add a bit of colour to the shelves.

Raspberry Ripple? Oh yes please.

BTW my ex-RAF partner, who only got to change a gun camera on a Javelin once, enquires as to what the kit is, as good Javelin kits are hard to find.

Oh, and apparently the camera was the same type as fitted to the Spitfire!

Well, not exactly, no Oxford blue undersides, although it sure is high conspicuity

enquires as to what the kit is, as good Javelin kits are hard to find.

Check my the build thread for details, it's a challenging kit probably not suitable for a novice kit assembler,

In 1/72 the best I know of is the 90's vintage Airfix FAW9/9R which is based on the early 80's Heller T3, with some work it can be built into a good representation of the 'flying flat iron'! Perhaps I should say some 'considerable' work!
I had an Airfix FAW9 I build as an 11sqn aircraft when the kit was new, I have photos somewhere,

The F95 camera, last seeing service in modified form on the Sea Harrier FRS1, I think?
