More work to the base.
I've stuck on some bigger stones where the waves would have thrown them.
Also, I've given the shore line a first coat of Dk. grey to bring out the cracks and fissures in the rocks.

Hi Ron
All these manufacturers desperately trying to flog us dio materials must be a weeping and a wailing when they see what you can achieve with a bit of polystyrene, some sand nicked from the garden and some comestibles borrowed from the larder

Thanks 453.
A huge percentage of the fun I get from model making is sourcing/recycling stuff that's all for now't. Also, I haven't any spare dosh.

Moving on.
I'm still working on the shoreline....

I've painted a brown 'Half Tide' band, and started to add some blue for the shallow water.

Big changes.
As there has been a violent storm, I reckon there would have been tons of sand piled up along the shore, so I've added some more bits of polystyrene and built up more sand.
Also bluerer for the deeper, further out water.

Next I'll try for the surface of the sea. This should give me something to work the silicone on.

Cheers.

When they made that movie "A Beautiful Mind" it should have been about your wonderful imagination in diorama artistry:surprised: instead of about some drug addled quack!
