A useful trick for getting all the paint off a model is to dunk it in a 50:50 mix of Dettol/Water overnight.

Reckitt have re-formulated Dettol and based it on lactic acid, branding it now as "Dettol True".

The original recipe containing 4.8% Chloroxylenol no longer features on the Dettol website; so it is limited to current stocks.

John

I find water based acrylics fall off models when dunked in isopropyl alcohol. For like 30 minutes.

Personally I find stripping models more bother than it is worth.
Bits break and you never quite get it all

Well maybe but thats like reading ikea instuctions before you spend 3 hrs swearing, or admitting your lost and asking for directions before the argument with the missus!

Admittedly I didn't read the label until after I melted a plastic pot.....
