Mh son bought me a tamiya virago for dads day. I will be stripping all the horrible chrome stuff off as it just looks cheap and nasty. I want to redo those parts. What would be the best product to use so they look like proper chrome.
Thanks in advance. Paul

I use a Molotow pen for my chrome bits.

Although not quite up to Alcad standard I have used Vallejo Metallic Color with pleasing results. That is sprayed over a gloss black base in light coats. Being water based it doesn't smell and clean up is easy.

Plus one on Alclad over Alclad gloss black primer. Mind you, Jim’s model above is excellent so that’s another option.

Alclad over a Black base would be my choice as well. Hope this helps. :thumb2:
