Hi all heres one that I started months ago but never got round to finishing off, until now. Its the excellent Airfix 95th Rifleman ,which is a great little kit like all their collectors series and was first tooled in 1974 ,this ebay find dating from around then .The only additions were thin strips of wine foil to replace the kit supplied styrene sheet for the straps and belts and a bit of green cotton for the cord on the powder horn. One other tiny (and I mean TINY! ) addition was his index finger on the left hand , i dropped him during construction and it broke off and disappeared into the ether ,so a replacement had to be made from stretched sprue , it was about 1.5 mm long !!! anyhoo heres some pics , dont get excited -i'm no figure painter but i do enjoy the fiddly building of these colourful chaps. cheers tony DSCN3256.JPGDSCN3258.JPGDSCN3259.JPGDSCN3260.JPGDSCN3262.JPGDSCN3266.JPGDSCN3268.JPGDSCN3269.JPGDSCN3270.JPGDSCN3271.JPGDSCN3272.JPG

Nice one Tony :smiling3:.
Terrific work Tony. Very nicely done.
That's a great result
Great work Tony
Nice job Tony. Those hands are a sod to put together aren't they?
thanks for the comments everyone , I know it’s far from the stunning work that you figure painting specialists turn out but I enjoyed it and I’m happy with the result ,although despite several goes with Matt varnish I still can’t quite get rid of the sheen on his clothes, and yes neil - those hands are a proper pain especially if like both of us you decide to amputate a finger as well !!! Cheers tony
