I hope i have solved the puzzle of where to put this build i have decided as its used i open water i will put in the boat build section.
So here goes i have the car deck already painted and the rest of the parts masked and ready for the first stage of build
more work done the passenger cabin has now got a coat of paint and i have started sorting out the skirt sections as most of them have dropped off the spures
I remember crossing the channel on a few occasions in these. The first time I saw one come out of the sea I was amazed at the size of them. If memory serves they had the biggest propellers ever fitted.
Count me in. A school friend built one of these he'd been given for Christmas back in the 70s. I remember a very noisy crossing on a school day trip too....
I'll join you on this trip if I may. Been across the Channel and back on the Princess Margaret. Noisiest and roughest crossing I have ever had !!
John.
I have just found out whilst checking the kit i found some serious miss moulding on both sides a large chuck miss on the starboard side
And a smaller one on the port side rear corner.
Obviously it wasn't checked properly before it left the factory
Nasty miss moulding. Still it looks like an easy fix with some plastic sheet.
I had the pleasure of going into the car deck during a crossing in fairly calm weather. I'll just say it's a good thing everything gets chained down. Funny part was the restraints were on/over wheels and axles. The result of which everything was bouncing up and down together.
I missed out on a crossing on the bridge as I was ill !
