That is one huge dio. base Alan. Very impressive.

I think I'll build a couple Ju. 88's and wait until you've finished it, then slip over the Channel and bomb the b****r!

Ok I've got all the parts made for the first hurry , View attachment 98769

as you ca see I don't build in the conventional sense I find it quicker this way :smiling3: View attachment 98770

this being the old airfix 1/48 it comes with a single piece canopy which ive cut up so I can have it open
To do this I very gently cut the top of the canopy with a scalpel just so it through the plastic then just using the tips of a pair of clippers I cut little sections doing one side then the other so as not to split the canopy

I don't think I've done a bad job on that :smiling3: just seven more to go

Cockpit now painted , I haven't done too much in here as once it's together you can't see very much

I've just given the instrument panel a dry brush , there is a decal for it but it doesn't look very good IMO

This the best kit for your purposes s there are not a lot of parts. So they can be built quickly. If you break a canopy ,Falcon do vacform replacements (2 in a pack) quite cheap.I bought some when I built one of these and managed to break mine.

An ambitious project Alan - you'll be wishing you had an airbrush!
Not really mate it's just like doing lots of dioramas one after ther other :D

That's the way I'm looking at it anyway :smiling3:

Good start Alan. Unconventional building technique, but looks fun! That is a lot of Hurricane kits, should build up into a nice diorama. Will watch the builds and diorama progress.
