No idea Andrew. I've never used a primer with them before unless i'm painting white, red or yellow colours. But this time i thought i'd give it a shot and it worked lovely. Colour is really strong. I painted it on lightly and slowly at around 15psi and saw it was 'sticking' well so carried on. To be honest i'm quite impressed.

Nice job on the yellow Alan.
I must admit to having wondered about the wisdom behind it occasionally though. The Germans worked out complex camouflage schemes to blend their aircraft into the landscape, then put on damn great yellow (or red, or white etc) blotches that must have stood out like sore thumbs...I wonder if it was a hangover from the early days of aerial supremacy?
