M16 Multiple-Gun Motor Carriage

1/16 Trumpeter (Item 00911)

Once you have opened the box, you can see all the contents very tidy, each one inside different boxes and well presented.

The first impression, so, is good!

Principally, because the chassis, the fender, the cab and the compartment, they come prebuilt on four different pieces. It’s always nice open the box and has a real idea about the size of the model (15 inches aprox) :smiling3:

The instruction book is simple and clear....anyway there are some mistakes on the draws, so take a look before you glue the pieces...

There is another separate sheet with the paint references (uncorrect for me....) because this is a 1/16 model, so there are some details that you cannot see on the general sheet (like engine or chassis), then, you don’t know which is the correct colour.

The kit contains two figures. The quality is fine....much better than the Airfix ones on their 1/24 models.

The tracks (rubber), the tyres, the sprocket and the idler wheels come on a separate box.

Different, but a good surprise, is the metallic chassis frames! All the fender, cab, and compartment are fixed to the frames using screws..... ;)

The kit comes with a final bonus pack. The quality looks excellent!!!

Photo etched, metal chain, metal hinges, metal can mount rack,......and an amount of screws :smiling3:

My first impression is that I have a good model to build in my hands. ;)

The dilemma...? At this scale, you can choice if you want to add more general details....like cables and small pieces. Personally I don’t have any interest to add those plus on the model. So, I will try to compensate it with a good paintwork!

Thanks for looking!

I’ve been started the engine. It needs plastic putty on some places. But, by the moment, it not given me any problem.

Anyone knows the colour of the engine block?

As I said there isn’t any kind of reference on the colour sheet instruction...

Yep!!

I know it.....I’m taking my time on this one.... :smiling3:

Anyway I’m really glad with the wheel’s system.....is ingenious and practical!!

It uses some different pieces, which give to you, the possibility to remove the entire wheel or dismantle for easy future paintwork.

Magnificent....is a good idea!
