Hi Tony
Those kit decals are pretty horrible. The ones you have used look spot on. The replacement canopy is perfect. Very good idea for the framing.

A nice benefit of not putting the engines on till last is that I can spray the exhaust staining without having to mask anything up. First off was a thin black/ brown mix then on top of that a thin light grey , not forgetting the undercarriage doors .The engines have now been attached and the undercarriage has been fitted. Needless to say its a tail sitter , i dont think even a full nose of lead would have sorted it plus the spindly undercarriage would have given up straight away! The kit supplied oil drum and crate have been painted in case my cunning plan doesnt work!
That's looking awesome Tony. Love the homemade canopy and framing idea. That makes two fabulous techniques from your good self I've nicked these past few weeks
Well ive got the final few bits done - cannons made from brass tube , easier than trying to clean up the kit ones , aerial attached , undercarriage doors attached and its been given a very light chipping . The canopy has been fitted in the open position , and the props fitted . Im calling it done , in the end my cunning plan ( acupuncture needle prop under rear fuselage ) worked ok and is hardly noticeable so i didnt need the oil drum and crate after all. Heres some pics , ill take some more tomorrow for a completed thread, cheers tony
