Thanks Jim, I hope I can pull it off. I seldom do seascapes.Hi Richard
Your mini modelling masterpiece will look great on its seascape.
Jim
You should try it some time, gives you the control of the size needed. Here's the Oxford placed just for size and composition. I may want to raise the level higher with two pieces of foam for the sea.Watching your carpentry with interest.......It never occurred to me to make my own bases. I always used cheap or discarded picture frames. Thanks for the "Demo". Rick H.
Yes Steve, a few hundred nautical miles to go and at a speed of 10 knots pretty hard going I'm a bit wary about doing the seascape right. She isn't a quick boat so the wakes won't be high or obvious.Oh yes!! All heading in the right direction Richard. Bring on the paint and your magic hairy stick
Looking excellent Richard. I've enjoyed following all the progress.
How about finishing the seascape on this thread. Then posting just one picture of the end result on here as a sort of 'Taster'.
......then give us the Full Monty over in Dioramas 'Completed'? I would hope that might be an amicable solution.
Ron
Are you sure about that Ron. I'm guessing you have the rule book with you so I'll go with it. But it's on you if I get sent to stand in the corner.
Cheers,
Richard
I get what you mean Ron, thanks,I handed in my copy of the rule book a few weeks back. That to one side, my suggestion seems a fair, and logical way to go about finishing off your( or anyone else's) build.
....but I would ease off about deletions and being sent to a corner though.
Thanks Rick, just spent some time clearing cat poop to cool off. Just had a thought fresh kitty litter can be used to as a form of plaster. Just sprinkle some water on it and it will harden.Great job on the water Richard...really sets the whole thing off. Can't wait to see the finished product. Rick H.
Yes they come in many shapes and sizes and consistency too. Some actually when coated look like my Gall stones.Next we'll be discussing the many uses of "cat poop" for modeling purposes!
