Thank you very much indeed Tim. I'm genuinely pleased with it, even if I do say so myself.

Andrew,
Really nice work on the chipping not overdone and very convincing. The damage to the road wheels is spot on.

Hi all

So I'm calling the painting phase all done. Steel paint has been applied in appropriate places as explained above, with exhaust and tools glued in place.

Next up decals!

All the best and all comments welcome as usual.

Andrew

Andy,
The paint looks very good looking forward to the next stage.
Hi Andrew
That is a great finish. Very realistic look.

Cracking look, chipping is nicely understated.
Looking good, the chipping is just right.

Morning Andrew,
This is coming along very nicely. The chipping looks good and not overdone and the pre shade has really helped to add a bit of interest to the paint work :thumb2:

Thanks Si, very much appreciated.

As always there are things I think I could have improved on or done differently but actually far, far fewer than I thought there would be given this is my first foray into 1/35.

All in all in really quite pleased with it.

Thank you very much for the feedback. It really has been an enjoyable experience so far. Still need to work on the chipping technique but very pleased nonetheless how it turned out for my first effort.

That said, given your expertise and knowledge of wood, I am slightly disappointed in you, in that you mistook decking planks for a table...... ;) :smiling2: :smiling5:

In all seriousness though, your support is much appreciated.

Andrew

Ps have you had a chance to try that extender medium yet?

Steve

Thank you very much indeed. Having seen some of your work on here and on your YouTube channel I will take that as a real compliment.

Hopefully i can keep it going with the rest of the build.
