Building a new kit like this is challenging the best of times. Taking on a started kit and having to correct a lot of mistakes. I lift my hat to you Ken.

Thanks Chris and Ian
Hi all got more planking done, I'm quite pleased with how the stern is turning out.

Hi all I know I shouldn't yet but I wanted to see how she would look when sanded down so had a quick go.

I know still Leeds a bit of filling in places but I'm really chuffed how it looks at the moment.

Hi Ken
Looking very good indeed. I have never built a wooden kit like this but imagine the planking is the hardest part. A lot of time and patience.

Just had a full read through, some build eh ! You've done a lovely job in remedying the mistakes made before you started. Decking is as the others have rightly said is brilliant. Looking fwd to the upper sections ! Good luck .

Shaping the planks to fit the ever narrowing spaces (scharf joints I think their called ) is a very slow job (and each one is a different shape) but it is surprisingly satisfying when they finally fit.

Finally finished the planking of the hull, luckily the top half is black so I can hide the bad bits under the paint, I'm really pleased with the bottom half though which is good since I will just be varnishing that and leaving the wood to show.

I must admit its turned out far better than I hoped it would.
