been wanting to join in with this GB for a while, but ive had to change plans since i currently dont have the time to do the 1/35 kit that i planned to do

but i need a break from what i have on the bench at the moment. The Nissan is about to go back in to get its paint stripped for the 4th time cos its being a pain in the proverbial, and i just need a break from Roger, who was always going to be a side project anyway, so im going to do something small and simple

its a Revell repop of the old Matchbox kit, so its got that cool dio base. i can remember doing this when i was a kid so its going to be fun to revisit it

just missing the old two tone plastic

I've got one of these partially done - been sitting here for a while now......

Are you going to detail it or just build from the box Paul?

Presumably the tracks are still the awful vinyl rubber bands

Great little kit there paul , these old matchbox armour kits were brilliant. Great detail and the dio bases were a nice touch , i did the Wespe ages ago and loved it , even the rubber tracks looked good ! ( that one comes with a sand dune base complete with palm tree!)

Nothing like a quick small scale build to give the modelling mojo a tweak...I’ll grab a chair if I may:smiling4:

ive always liked them, im planning on doing the jagdpanther next......never understood why no one else picked up on the idea of the bases

the Wespe was a famous cockup as if i remember right the Wespe was never used in africa

i recommend the Panzer II if youve never done it

The base has turned out well bearing in mind how old it is. Great work on the crater. Does the kit come with any figures?
