Neil - Many thanks. I was going to put a layer of satin varnish on the red lacquered parts, but the finish is quite bumpy an crude and the varnish would highlight that.

I did the armour with Vallejo Dark Red, and in reality it's much darker and shinier than in the photos. The problem is the old one with my camera which makes the reds bloom and lose detail.

late as usual. very nice head swap, I really like the armor color a lot. my reds always look dull.

Cheers Richard. I have trouble with reds too. They really don't like matt varnish - go as flat as a pancake.
