Planking good work Peter are you finding it hard to bend the planking on the bow ?. As when I build my ships on a scratch build hull I normally have to steam the wood to get it to bend whithout snapping

The planks seem to be very forgiving as thy only need a quick soak.

I have the New Bedford Whaling Boat wooden model in my basement. Haven't been able to talk myself into starting it. Nice planking job. Is that the outer planking or under planking?

I do believe it's the outer planking.

Morning Peter,
I like the look of this, something completely different.
Do you have to steam the timbers to get them to conform?

Just a quick soak in cold water does the trick as the planks seem very forgiving.
