Just had to go through some old boxes, and came across some old bits and pieces.
First off - Airfix? Anyone remember them doing these sort of figures, non-posable in about 1/32 or 1/35 (can remember the 1/72 boxes of 40 odd)

Then also some of these 1/32 fully posable

Can't remember when I got them though, must be at least 40 years ago, if not nearer 50!

And another one - no history on this at all, no idea what kit it came in or anything.

I remember the Airfix large polythene figures. I think I’ve still got a box of British support weapons if you want them ;)
The others were the 1/32 multi pose hard plastics I think. Never had those. I think the 28mm polystyrene figures I mostly work on these days are their great grandchildren though. No idea about the head!

Thanks, but that's the only figure that's turned up (I might have taken you up on the offer otherwise, just to see if I could get a dio out of them) - don't know where from or when it came into the box!
The 1/32 hard plastic ones, think that there's about 10 or so, few weapons survived.
Head is something to do with the 'US' (collar tags says that much), but as to who it relates to, who knows? WW1 flier possibly?

I don’t remember buying them.....but I do remember wishing they did them in 1/72 so I could use them for gaming!
My bad on the head, mistook the eagle for the German type....

I'm completely at a loss - your box doesn't ring any bells for even the 'same style' for 8th army & looking at the print style, would say mid 70's?
Think that somewhere about I might have a 'bust' about the same size as the head (not assembled), but with a 'positional' neck joint (there's a 'tickle' at the back of my mind of seeing one at some point) so nothing to do with this one - might have to sort the loft out!
Think the reason for buying the 1/32 8th army figures was that I had an idea of a 'Trobruk' scene - wasn't there an old film where the AK were caught in a 'box'?
