Finally some progress on the big building: sandbags painted and mortar added to the hastely constructed barricaded windows
Flooring has been added between ground floor and first

Larger building has ground floor restaurant, next to the main room I recon there would be a kitchen, tiles are reality in -scale, the plumping is...I can't remember, sink and stove is royalmodel. upper pipe need some brackets, there will be shelves on the side and a stove tossed about in the rubble .

Cheers maties :smiling:

first floor larger building is an MG nest and as people live ,fight and die in these buildings i want to give it a "lived in" look by adding some amenities and personal items: transistor radio, mattress, and a coffee / the pot nicked from the restaurant kitchen downstairs. GWf4tn2 (1).jpg

You can never have too much rubble Steven. The sink and those files are a great find.
Now your going to cast ! Most impressed .

Good evening Gents
quite some progress to report mainly on the bigger building
flooring on both floors partly done first floor really only need some rubble at the edge and then thats done,
second floor is still WIP
Ill let the pics speak for themselves
I did play around with placing the casualty on the floor rather than on the street but I think he is going back to the area around the barricade otherwise that area will look empty now that the mortar is gone.

I concur with the others Steven, it is outstanding. :thumb2: The added items are well thought of. The flash lighting unfortunately often show the bad side of painting...I hope you will be painting in details and blending the shadows and highlights to finish off this great effort of a dio.

Cheers,
Richard

Control of access to drinking water became a Weapon of War during the Battle For Aleppo 2012-16. and today access to clean dringking water is not a given fact for the øcivilians returning to the devasted city.
Unlike most of Syria which gets its driknking water from underground supplies and springs, Aleppo is supplied from surface water from the Hafez al Assad Reservoir. Water is often stored en watertanks on rooftopos and fed through piiping,
...which I am making :smiling:
Evergreen + valves from MAIM watertank from Mengmodels.
the valves are massive (original on the right) and even shortend they might look too - shall we say - bulky - got another from another manufatuer ordered and might swap the MAIM for this one.

Bluetacked to tank- hence the lopsided look
