Hi guys,

I built this for Si & Steve's GB, big thanks to both guys for arranging it. :smiling3:

I have really enjoyed this build, I got the kit last Christmas and have been dying to build it but made myself wait until the start of the GB. The kit itself was a masterclass in engineering, it fit together so very well and had some really neat solutions to avoid seams. My only complaint is that the decals were a little thick, if I were to build it again I would probably go with aftermarket decals. I painted it with Hataka lacquers (a first for me) and I will definitely be using them again in the future, they sprayed flawlessly.

I wanted to display this one in flight, slightly challenging as the kit isn't designed for this, so some scratch building was required for the wheel wells. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Anyway, enough waffling, on with the pics.

That really is very good indeed you should be very pleased with that. The stand is a very cool way of displaying it too and really adds to its finish.

Well done.

Hi Bob,
Absolutely too stuff, it looked great before the weathering but now looks even better still.
I know it wasn’t a cheap kit and you certainly done it justice...and then some.

And a big thanks you for joining in with our GB :smiling4:

Cheers Chris. :smiling3:

Like anything it just takes practice mate. I've only been modelling for 3 years come the end of next month, I definitely couldn't have pulled this off back then.

Hi Bob
Another big WOW and thumbs up from me. This scores on every level. Neat build, beautifully painted, excellent weathering and a most clever way to display the bird.
You should be very proud of this - front of the display shelf.
