To be fair to Tamiya, it's not as bad as I had read. There was a fairly sizeable seam along the fuselage halfs, although this might be normal for aircraft kits (it's only the 2nd one I've attempted). Sprue goo and sanding dealt with that, followed by some re-scribing. Also, the wheel well shells had quite a step in them, but again filler & sanding sorted it out.
Other than that there was a little bit of filler in the wing roots and tail (you can see the white filler in the pics), but this was easily sorted with Vallejo putty and a wet finger.
