Can someone give me some advice on what types of brush's or shapes to get for weathering for dry brushing.
I bought these at the craft store.

Hi Erik,
for dry brushing the flat square ended brushes work best

If they are anything like the cheap brushes I get here in the UK the dark brown ones will be useless as the hairs fall out - the yellow/brown ones or white ones should work ok

Yeah I kinda bought them to get some work done this week end. I didn’t really think about it.

Erik,
the light brown and the white one will be fine - if you clean them well when finished they should even last quite a while

My cheap ones work just as well as the more expensive ones I have previously bought from art shops

Hi Erik.

It's really about what suits you the best. I tend to prefer stubby round ended brushes for dry-brushing, often trimming them down to get a flat end. Cheap brushes are fine for that, and anyway, they won't last long with the harsh treatment they'll get.

flats for dry brushing and some washes
fat stubby ones for adding/removing 'mud and dust'
