Hi all, thanks to everyone who commented on the bleach method to remove chrome on plastic. I tried it for the first time last night and this morning 99 % of the chrome came off leaving just a small amount of cleaning up, must admit I was worried I'd wake up to a big plastic blob.
Once again thanks all for the advice given, it worked a treat. :smiling3: :thumb2: :nerd:

just wash under LOTS of water. and use an old tooth brush to get in the nooks and crannies to persuade any awkward bits to give up any resistance

oh, and put the plug in the sink in case you drop a bit :smiling2:

Yeah I washed thoroughly afterwards, used a big bowl for this as there was a lot of small parts for the Bentley, just didn't like the factory chrome as someone said it's like toy chrome, will create more work to redo them in either Molotow or Vallejo Metal, but I hope the result will be worth it, I've now got time on my hands so there's no rush, gives me a chance to go through my music collection at the same time, 896 albums at last count, phew.:nerd:
